About me
For over 30 years, I have proudly called DeSoto home. I grew up in this vibrant community, and now, as a married father of two, I have the privilege of raising my family here. DeSoto has given so much to me, and I am committed to giving back.

I believe in progress that includes everyone, in a city government that listens, and in a future where DeSoto continues to thrive. This isn’t just a campaign—it’s a commitment to the people, the families, and the future of DeSoto.
Rooted in DeSoto, Committed to You.

Economic Development: Expanding Opportunities, Enhancing Quality of Life
DeSoto deserves a thriving local economy that benefits both residents and businesses. I am committed to attracting new retail, restaurants, and entertainment options that bring convenience, jobs, and economic growth to our city. Residents shouldn’t have to leave DeSoto to enjoy a night out or spend quality time with their families—we should have great options right here at home.Supporting small businesses is just as important as attracting new ones. By fostering partnerships, revitalizing existing commercial areas, and leveraging smart incentives, we can create an environment where businesses succeed and our community prospers. A strong local economy keeps our tax dollars in DeSoto, enhances our quality of life, and makes our city an even better place to live, work, and enjoy.
Public Safety: Protecting Our Community with Compassion and Strength
A safe community is a strong community. Public safety isn’t just about enforcement—it’s about building trust, fostering positive relationships, and ensuring that every resident feels protected and valued. I support equipping our first responders with the training and resources they need to effectively handle crises—especially when mental health is a factor.De-escalation, crisis intervention, and mental health awareness should be essential components of public safety. By investing in specialized training, expanding partnerships with mental health professionals, and implementing non-lethal response strategies when appropriate, we can ensure that officers are prepared to handle complex situations with care and professionalism.Additionally, strengthening community policing efforts can help bridge the gap between law enforcement and the people they serve. By prioritizing transparency, accountability, and ongoing dialogue, we can create a public safety system that not only reduces crime but also strengthens trust within our community. When public safety is approached with both compassion and strength, everyone benefits. I am committed to ensuring that DeSoto remains a place where families feel secure, officers are well-equipped, and safety is achieved through smart, community-centered solutions.
Community Engagement: A Voice for Every Resident
Strong communities start with strong connections—not just between neighbors but between residents and their city leadership. I believe in a City Council that listens, values community input, and ensures that DeSoto’s future is shaped by the people who live here.Major city projects should not move forward without the approval of the residents they impact. I am committed to increasing transparency, keeping residents informed, and making sure city plans reflect the priorities of the majority. When the community is engaged in the decision-making process, we create a city that works for everyone.Beyond policy, true community engagement means bringing people together. I want to create more opportunities for neighborhood events, cultural celebrations, and initiatives that foster unity. When we know our neighbors, we build trust, strengthen our city, and create a sense of belonging that makes DeSoto an even better place to call home.Together, we can build a city where every voice matters and every resident feels heard.
